CPIM Review Course Schedule

CPIM (Certified in Production & Inventory Management) certification requires professionals to study 5 different modules, and pass 5 separate exams.  You do not need a college degree to become CPIM certified. 

The first module is "Basics of Supply Chain Management", and is an extremely popular course, since it includes an excellent overview of materials management.  The other required CPIM modules are "Master Planning of Resources", "Detailed Scheduling & Planning", "Execution & Control of Operations", and "Strategic Management of Resources".  More information about the contents of these courses can be found at: CPIM course contents

These classes are currently offered on Saturdays (3-4 days per course, with some weeks off).  Class dates (including the date of the first class) are chosen to minimize scheduling conflicts for students Classes meet from 9am - 4:30pm, and a catered lunch is provided.

Master Planning of Resources (MPR)

CSCP (Certified Supply Chain Professional)

Classes and Materials

The CSCP content is broader than the CPIM (Certified in Production & Inventory Management) courses, and is covered in one course.   More information about the content of the CSCP course can be found at:  CSCP content

CSCP (Certified Supply Chain Professional) certification preparation courses meet for 5 days spread out over a 2-3 month period. These classes are highly recommended, and include additional content (beyond the standard APICS study materials) that can be on the APICS CSCP exam.  Experienced professionals can become CSCP certified without a college degree.

Fall 2017 classes are scheduled to begin in October, with both a Friday course and a Saturday course being offered.  Class dates (including the date of the first class) are chosen to minimize scheduling conflicts for students.  Also, participants also get to choose between attending classes on Fridays or Saturdays, or a combination of both. Classes run from 9am - 4:30pm, and meet at the Akron General Wellness Center West, 4125 Medina Road, Akron (right by the Route 77 exit ramp; 15 minutes south of the Route 480 & 77 interchange). APICS CSCP study materials may be purchased at a discount to the price charged by APICS International.

Lean Enterprise Course

Our Akron Area APICS Chapter is pleased to offer the APICS Lean Enterprise Workshop Series, a seven-module course designed to meet the demand for expert knowledge in the marketplace. This four day long course is offered on both weekdays and weekends.
